M. Mokarram is a distinguished professor at Shiraz University, Iran, specializing in climate science, geosciences, and environmental studies. Her research focuses on climate–environment interactions, landform dynamics, topography, and large-scale environmental assessment. She has strong expertise in remote sensing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for spatial analysis, environmental monitoring, and global-scale modeling. Her work addresses climate impacts, air quality, landscape processes, and ecosystem sustainability, particularly in vulnerable regions. Dr. Mokarram is recognized among the world’s top 2% scientists and has received national awards as an outstanding researcher in Iran. She is also a recipient of the TYSP Award from China, reflecting her international scientific contributions
